Camp Read is back on for this summer! Troop 173 will be attending Camp Read as we have done in prior to last year. The most up-to-date information can be found at the council website.
What will change this year? This is an excellent question, and the answer really depends on what
the New York State Board of Health determines. We are expecting that feedback in May, however it will be subject to change through the summer, so keep an eye out for important updates if anything should change.
What has been established is that there will be camp; scouts will earn Merit Badges; and scouts will be able to enjoy a great camp experience in the safest possible environment!
Troop 173 Girls are planning to attend: Sunday, July 25th 1pm arrival – Saturday, July 31st 9am departure
Troop 173 Boys are planning to attend: Sunday, August 8th 1pm arrival – Saturday, August 14th 9am departure
The most comprehensive and current information you need to know about Camp Read can be found on the council’s website (be sure to check for updates): https://www.ghvbsa.org/read/
