National Scout Sunday

We invite all scouts and their families to join us as we celebrate National Scout Sunday and honor all our scouts, leaders and volunteers.

All scouts are to meet in the Parish Center of the New Church at 12:00pm to line up for the procession into the church for the start of mass.

Scouts and leaders will sit together in the front of the church, in reserved seating (it will be taped off). Families are invited to sit behind, or to the left or right of these center pews. Please remember that no photography is allowed during the mass.

All scouts should be in FULL DRESS UNIFORM: NO sneakers, jeans, jewelry or electronics. Shirts are to be tucked in and troop neckerchief neatly worn, with merit badge sashes and religious emblems/medals neatly and proudly displayed.

At the conclusion of mass, scouts should remain seated until an adult meets them (we do not participate in the recessional as a group).

We hope to have the priest return to the altar for photo opportunities once the congregation has exited, so please allow extra time for this after the mass. However, this is always dependent upon the priests’ schedules for the day, so we beg your understanding.
