Fall Court of Honor
Troop 173 scouts and families gathered on Monday, October 29th to celebrate our Fall Court of Honor.
5 of our scouts advanced to the Tenderfoot rank, having learned some basic first aid skills
and how to tie knots and improving their physical fitness.
2 scouts earned the rank of Second Class. These scouts have participated in many Scout activities, gaining knowledge and distinguishing themselves by qualifying for Second Class rank.
Another 5 scouts gained the rank of First Class. On their way to First Class, they have demonstrated all of the essential core scouting skills.
We celebrated one scout’s advancement to the rank of Life Scout, acknowledging his leadership, service and advanced scouting achievements.
We also were able to acknowledge the two Eagle Scouts who earned this prestigious rank since our last Court of Honor in June.
90 merit badges were earned by 22 of our scouts as well – many of these were earned over the summer at Camp Read, but quite a few were also earned independently.
