For the first campout of the new scouting season, the Troop stayed for our first time at BSA Camp Bullowa in Rockland County. We stayed from Friday through Sunday and on Saturday we took a tour of nearby Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site.

On Saturday, March 17th, Troop 173 departed for our March campout at Mountain Lakes County Park. The boys went on an adventurous hike (quite literally), fished, and learned lashings in order to complete requirements for advancement on the road of scouting. On Friday, October 27th, Troop 173 departed to battle the Zombie Apocalypse. The scouts participated in a series of activities that helped teach first aid, marksmanship, and other vital skills to help them defend themselves and others during a Zombie Apocalypse. The scouts all had fun and enjoyed themselves.
