First and foremost, a scout is prepared. On these pages you will find all of the resources a scout, a prospective scout or a parent might need. Please use the navigation on the left or the links below to access our resource pages.

General Information – Contains the Troop Manual, a guide for new parents plus general forms such as permission slips or medical forms.

Advancement – One of the most immediate rewards that Scouting provides is in Advancement. Each scout progresses through the ranks at their own pace. On this page you will find forms and resources to help in this process.

Merit Badges – In addition to the overall advancement path, scouting provides each scout the opportunity to pursue interests individual to them with merit badges. This page provides guidance and assistance in helping scouts earn these badges as well as information for adults who want to become a merit badge counselor.

Camping – One of the core activities for scouts is camping. Here you will find information specific to Troop 173’s camping outings as well as general tips and guides to help keep your camping outings safe and fun.
