Troop 173 ‘s Newest Eagle Scout, Sebastian C.

Manitoga-Muscoot Fall Camp-O-Ree Recap

This past weekend, Troop 173 attended the November District Camp-O-Ree, hosted by Troop 911 of Yorktown. Troop 173 hosted the previous district event, the Lash-O-Ree which was focused on knot tying and lashings. This camp-o-ree was focused mainly on First Aid skills. Eagle Scout Court of Honor – Tomas and Robert

On October 9th, an Eagle Scout Court of Honor celebration was held for 2 of Troop 173’s most recent Eagle Scout Honorees: Tomas C. and Robert Serafin. Numerous Eagle Scouts and Troop 173 alumni were in attendance to share in the festivities. Several current Troop 173 Scouts were also in attendance and a few participated.. read more →

Troop 173 Visit to Gettysburg

On October 14-16th, Troop 173’s Scouts took an educational trip to Gettysburg, camping on the outskirts of the site and touring the many battlegrounds and monuments on Saturday. Some photos are below. read more →

September Campout

The scouting season’s first campout was held at Durland Scout Reservation. Scouts worked on a number of skills for advancement during the day, and also fished and took a 2.5 mile hike. read more →
