Online Merit Badge Workshops

Announcing Troop 173 Merit Badge Workshops As we mentioned a few weeks ago, we are moving forward with putting together several online Merit Badge Workshops. These workshops will be multiple day classes designed to foster a cooperative learning experience. Each workshop will be conducted using Google Meet. 2020 Scout Dues

Annual dues for 2020 are $130.00 for the year. These dues cover the normal operating costs for the Troop such as: patches, merit badges, rank badges, advancement cards, troop equipment maintenance and repairs, and any other materials the Scouts may need during the course of the year in order to put on a quality scouting program for our scouts. October Court of Honor

On October 28th, Troop 173 held our fall Court of Honor. In addition to awarding nearly 100 merit badges and 14 rank advancements, Troop m173 ASM Harry Zhou received his Wood Badge Beads as part of the ceremony. read more →

Camp Read Adventures, 2019

Every year, we enjoy a week up at the Curtis S. Read Scout Reservation. Intrepid & Con Ed Tours

On June 27th, Troop 173 headed down to Manhattan to take a tour of the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum followed by a private tour of a nearby Con Ed facility. 2019 Northern Districts Klondike

This past weekend, a handful of our scouts braved the weather to attend a campout at Durland and participate in the 2019 Klondike. The scouts used a handmade backpack containing the tools they needed to compete against other troops in several scout skill challenges.
