Congrats to our Troop as we placed third in the District Klondike event! It was a fantastic group effort and everyone should be very proud! We finished with 412 points overall, just a few points behind the second and first place finishers!

On November 11th, scouts from Pack and Troop 173 were invited to participate in the dedication of a Blue Star Memorial at Patriot garden in Yorktown. An important aspect of Scouting is giving back to the community. We seek to incorporate this value into activities planned throughout the year. One such event that Troop 173 enjoys participating in annually is the Veterans Day Parade to honor our area’s military veterans.
For the first campout of the new scouting season, the Troop stayed for our first time at BSA Camp Bullowa in Rockland County. We stayed from Friday through Sunday and on Saturday we took a tour of nearby Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site.
