Eagle Scout Court of Honor – Tomas and Robert

On October 9th, an Eagle Scout Court of Honor celebration was held for 2 of Troop 173’s most recent Eagle Scout Honorees: Tomas C. and Robert Serafin. Troop 173 Visit to Gettysburg

On October 14-16th, Troop 173’s Scouts took an educational trip to Gettysburg, camping on the outskirts of the site and touring the many battlegrounds and monuments on Saturday. Some photos are below. read more →

September Campout

The scouting season’s first campout was held at Durland Scout Reservation. Scouts worked on a number of skills for advancement during the day, and also fished and took a 2.5 mile hike. read more →

Camp Read Alternative

Thanks to the efforts of ASM Ed McKearney, we have an alternate to Camp Read for Summer Camp – Camp Yawgoog of the Narragansett BSA, Rhode Island Council. Lash-O-Ree Wrap-up

From April 29th-May 1st, fourteen scouts from our troop participated in the Manitoga-Muscoot Lash-O-Ree. They were joined by hundreds of other scouts from the two districts.
