Blue Star Plaque Dedication

On November 11th, scouts from Pack and Troop 173 were invited to participate in the dedication of a Blue Star Memorial at Patriot garden in Yorktown. Veterans Day Parade

An important aspect of Scouting is giving back to the community. We seek to incorporate this value into activities planned throughout the year. One such event that Troop 173 enjoys participating in annually is the Veterans Day Parade to honor our area’s military veterans. read more →

2020 Scout Dues

Annual dues for 2020 are $130.00 for the year. These dues cover the normal operating costs for the Troop such as: patches, merit badges, rank badges, advancement cards, troop equipment maintenance and repairs, and any other materials the Scouts may need during the course of the year in order to put on a quality scouting program for our scouts. October Court of Honor

On October 28th, Troop 173 held our fall Court of Honor. In addition to awarding nearly 100 merit badges and 14 rank advancements, Troop m173 ASM Harry Zhou received his Wood Badge Beads as part of the ceremony. read more →

September Campout at Camp Bullowa/Stony Point

For the first campout of the new scouting season, the Troop stayed for our first time at BSA Camp Bullowa in Rockland County. We stayed from Friday through Sunday and on Saturday we took a tour of nearby Stony Point Battlefield State Historic Site. read more →

Every year, we enjoy a week up at the Curtis S. Read Scout Reservation.
