Giancarlo and Alessandro become the 4th and 5th Eagle Scouts of 2022, and the 107th and 108th overall for the Troop! Honor Flight

Troop 173 – Fall Court of Honor
On October 24th, Troop 173 held our Fall Court of Honor. 19 Scouts earned over 80 Merit badges plus additional awards, including two BSA Scuba Awards, a National Outdoor Achievement Award, a Paul Bunyan Woodsman Award, two Recruiter Awards, one Cyber Chip and a BSA World Conservation Award! Halloween Shootout Campout at Ten Mile River Scout Campground
This past weekend, October 15th and 16th, our Scouts participated in the Halloween Shootout camping event at Ten Mile River. Over a dozen troops from the tri-state area participated in a day of activities which included various firearms, archery and axe throwing, followed by a celebratory banquet. Eagle Scout Project Dedication at the Yorktown VFW
On Sunday, October 9th, Veterans from Yorktown VFW Post #8328 gathered along with Scouts from Troop 173 to hold a dedication ceremony for their new fire pit, which was designed and installed thanks to the hard work of our scouts and friends. Troop 173 at Fright Fest – Six Flags New England!
This past Saturday, 10 scouts and their families spent the day at Six Flags New England, including a behind the scenes tour of Superman – the acclaimed roller-coaster which includes a 213 foot drop and reaches speeds in excess of 77mph!
